What they are saying about artist Randall Peterson -

Katherine Brown, Innkeeper/Owner
Bloomsbury Inn, Camden, South Carolina

“Having received the original artwork in a very timely manner, we know we made the right decision. Not only is the artwork fantastic, Randall was a pleasure to meet. He kept us well apprised of the entire process, timeline and progress. The attention to detail in his work is just amazing. He has a beautiful hand and superior communication skills.

Monique Greenwood, Owner/Innkeeper, Akwaaba B&B Inns
New York, New Jersey, New Orleans, Washington, D.C.

“Randall Peterson is a talented artist without the diva attitude! He is patient and pleasant, and his meticulous attention to detail is not only obvious in his unforgettable artwork, but it's also evident in his dealings with the client. With his rare and realistic pen-and-ink dot technique, Randall has captured the uniqueness and charm of each of our four inns. We have his beautifully framed, signed originals in all our locations, and we've used the artwork as the graphic on everything from note cards and napkins to key chains and bookmarks. Quite simply, Randall's artwork reflects the professionalism and quality we strive to offer each guest at Akwaaba.”

– Timothy Harrison,
President of the American Lighthouse Foundation

As time marches on with computer generated graphics, fewer and fewer people are training themselves in developing the brain to create works of art created by hand. Randall Peterson has. His ability to create true works of art, through pointillism, to record forever some of our nation’s treasured landmarks in a unique art form can only be stated as “outstanding.”

I’ve created artwork in different mediums for the past 35 years and have worked in the style of pointillism since 1989. The size of my originals are 8" x 10" and take 30 to 50 hours to complete.

The nostalgia and romance associated with inns and B&Bs have captivated my imagination, much like the lighthouses I have studied and celebrated in my artwork. These are places where we can explore the past, get away from the day-to-day, and make our own memories.

Those of you who are familiar with my work know that I use a pen and ink technique known as stippling or pointillism, in the artistic tradition of French artist Georges Pierre Seurat. I convey both the beauty and steadfastness of historic structures in my black and white renderings.
